In search of a high pattern of fresh fruits, the agricultural company NOLEM meets the European pattern of fresh fruits production which is governed by the document Eurepgap. Such a document, imposes norms of good agricultural practices, whose essential objective is the development of the enhanced procedures of agricultural production of the world. In it, is defined a minimum acceptable pattern for the European retailers' group. Like this, NOLEM should be capable to demonstrate its ability in maintaining the quality and the alimentary safety of its fruits, to minimize the environmental impact while preserving the wild life and nature (Always in agreement with government rules), to optimize the efficiency of the use of its hydric resources and to assume a responsible posture before the health and safety of its workers. For that, NOLEM combined a hand of resources such as: Eurepgap, Integrated Production of Fruits (IPF), Hazards Critical Control Points System (HACCP) and Good Agricultural Practices. Such tools, whose limits and objectives are a lot of times mixed, get to be part of the essence of Eurepgap.
Recently, it has realized a pre-audition of the Nature´s Choice, the BRC and the HACCP, with a prevision to be audited by May. Nolem´s next step are the certificates ISO 9001 and 14001.
